IS THE AMAZON THE LONGEST RIVER IN THE WORLD?

THE CHALLENGE

It has always been taught that the Nile River is the longest and that the Amazon River has the largest volume of water, but that can be no longer correct.

To answer this question, our explorers will travel the entire length of this world heritage, starting from a new source discovered in Peru and traveling all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

Embark with us on this challenging and spectacular adventure to document the greatest biodiversity on Earth, aboard boats powered by solar energy and pedal, built with bioresin and natural fibers!

The project will provide important legacies for traditional, indigenous, and afrodescendant communities in the Amazon, including accessible electromobility technology, specially developed for the expedition.

A NEW MOST DISTANT SOURCE, A NEW REASON TO REDISCOVER THE AMAZON RIVER

For the first time, a professional team will travel the entire length of the Amazon River, defending the use of clean energies and in a campaign to reduce pollution in the water.

The whole experience will be properly documented to investigate if the Amazonas is the largest river in the world, both in territorial extension and in water volume.

The project will result in many productions such as a web series, TV/streaming Series, documentary, VR/AR educational project, an educational IMAX movie for museums of 40 countries, and people will participate in this adventure in the METAVERSE.

A project that follows the SDG criteria (Sustainable Development Goals).

A unique opportunity for companies ESG committed to the SDG principles.

BENEFITS FOR THE WORLD

The initiatives and studies generated from the project directly impact the world, since the Amazon Biome plays a fundamental role in balancing the global climate.

In addition, the conservation of the greatest biodiversity on the planet ensures natural sustainability for all life forms and healthy ecosystems.

This is a project for the planet, that will document and show the Amazon Biome to the world like never before, and will stimulate the conservation and scientific research in this gigantic world heritage site.

BENEFITS TO BRAZIL

The project seeks scientific proof of the Amazon River’s true extension. That will make Brazilians feel pride in this Biome, and therefore increase their interest in conserving it.

In addition to consolidating the image of the Amazon Biome, which has the largest biodiversity on the planet, we will reveal the native and riverside people, and the fauna and flora. The resulting productions will impact millions of people around the world, promoting tourism to Brazil, and the positive image of Brazil abroad.

The hybrid boat developed especially for this expedition will have its technology shared with the traditional, indigenous, and afrodescendant communities, encouraging the change to clean energies by substituting the motors they use today, which pollute and use fuel that is hard to obtain in those areas.
